In the midst of this time of great change, i have been seeking words and states of mind-body that remind me of the eternal…a pot of tea, a cup of mocha, a glass of champagne, a yoga practice, a meditation, a walk without destination, an evening with friends, a good book…John O’Donohue, Celtic mystic and philosopher, is one of my favorite sources of inspiration. Though he has passed to the other side, his words linger and speak to the time at hand:

Lovers, Dreamers, Magic-makers, write your Wyrd - your fate, your destiny - through your Words and actions. Think of Wyrd as the book of your life, filled with blank pages waiting for your Words - vibrations of your unique life force spoken into space, inscribing possibility out of the impossibly vast Void.

A few years ago, one of my dearest clients passed away from breast cancer that had gone into remission, but returned and quickly took her to the other side. I visited her several times in hospice and was so moved by the peace surrounding her final exhale. This time of the year is the final exhalation, the turning of deepest darkness to the tiniest sliver of light.

Neptune turns direct on November 19. This planet rules the sign of Pisces, and inspires the dreamer and mystic within us. As a Pisces Rising, dreams are my lifeline and help give meaning to a life that doesn’t always make sense. Through our dreams, we live into alternate realities where anything can happen and everything is possible.

People are under extreme stress these days. So is the planet as a whole. Some of us feel our hearts breaking for the devastation of the water, land, and beings of Gaia. Some of us are at the brink of apparent mental breakdown, losing our minds and having to come to our senses. Some of us are angry. Some of us are shameful. Many of us do not feel safe in the current climate of divisiveness and confusion.
