...for this coming Libra Blue Moon (which is all about beauty, harmony and peace), may you embody the beautiful way you are interconnected with all your relations - human and non-human, seen and unseen, near and far, past and future, waking and dreaming...

Today is laundry day at the Ranch. It’s also nearly the New Moon - a time to clear out the old and set intentions for the next cycle, which will usher us through Ostara (Spring Equinox), Easter, Passover and a beautiful Libra Blue Moon.

Yesterday under the tides of the waxing Virgo Full Moon, my little family of three set off on the road for two months of traveling and teaching. So, this Moon is truly initiating and amplifying our drive to serve! 

As we turn towards Spring, the remembrance of what was, nourishes what will be. I go on daily walks with Taliesin (who is already four months old!) and we say hello to every tree, leaf, bird, stick, flower and stone we see. Tiny flowers are budding on once barren branches and dried leaves are making songs as they swirl in the wind. 

Stories “in-form” us - they are part of this body of work called Life. The primary story in-forming Imbolc for me this year is the “Maidens of the Wells” from a French text called The Elucidation. Over a period of a few weeks, I came across it three times in three different places. In Celtic cosmology, three is a most sacred number. When something occurs three times, you can be sure that it is not random - the Great Mystery is trying to get your attention! And specifically, the message could be coming from the Great Goddess, as She appears in three forms - maiden, mother, crone. 

Here we are at the threshold of the Leo Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse - a Blue Blood Moon. Energies are running high, and polarities may feel increasingly intense with big swings, particularly in the energetic body - realm of the spirit. One moment your spirits may be high, and the next you may be crashing. This is the same for the outer world - As Within, So Without. At least that’s how I’ve been experiencing the lead up to this fiery, spirited Leo Moon!

New Moons carry the energy of initiation. With this Moon in the sign of Capricorn, you may be feeling the pull to initiate big change in the physical plane - the areas of structure, work and money in particular. You may be feeling a strong call to create something substantial, something with lasting value and meaning. 

And so, we begin again. The turning of the calendar year comes with a collective turning towards transformation and boy! it’s time for that! However, true transformation takes us to an uncomfortable edge that we may want to back away from - this is the ego’s way of maintaining safety and security in the known.

Be forewarned and prepared, this full moon may be emotionally and psychically intense! But have no fear, She’s got you and She will carry you into the new year with a Fierce Love.
