Tell me, those of you who watch the sun set and walk in the moonlight…How does it feel? On your skin. Under your skin. In your flesh and bones. It’s been months, four or six perhaps, since I’ve seen the night sky.
This Gemini New Moon is bringing me into a place of deep listening. A couple days ago in the darkening of the Moon, after an intensive week of feeling and healing, I was straining to hear the silence beneath and in the noise. And now…silence, waiting, longing…Peace and Clarity in the not yet knowing, but the trusting, yes, the trusting that all is coming.
Full Moons are bright mirrors (directly opposite the Sun), providing us with a moment to pause and reflect on the energies within and all around us. This Full Moon is in Sagittarius, opposite the Sun in Gemini. Sagittarius, symbolized by an arrow, reminds us to choose, focus on the target and move forward. Gemini is a storyteller, a Queen Muse, granting us the freedom to fly in the vast sky of dreams. For those of us who are seekers of love and freedom, this Sagittarius Full Moon is a powerful ally.

This is the time of the New Moon in Taurus, sign of the bull. Close your eyes and go back into ancient memory when the gods and goddesses roamed the earth. Remember a time when the Earth and the earthiness of our animal bodies were sacred, gifts of the god and goddess: He as the virile bull, stag king, goat-footed god; She as the Earth and great horned goddess with a mantle of stars and crescent moon upon her crown.

The Beltane Season is upon us! The Earth is quickening. Power is stirring. Magic is afoot. This is one of my favorite times to gather in ceremony and either go on or guide a retreat. Being a new mama, the Beltane circle this year will be just a few potent hours at White Lotus in Poulsbo, WA.

Aries is the great initiator and ignitor. New Moons are initiators, as well. So, with the New Moon in Aries, we have a great fiery energy to ignite our dreams and passions! The fire is a powerful energy of creation and destruction. In the transformation is a chaos that destabilizes, burning through the obstacles that hold us back - inner and outer.

Today is laundry day at the Ranch. It’s also nearly the New Moon - a time to clear out the old and set intentions for the next cycle, which will usher us through Ostara (Spring Equinox), Easter, Passover and a beautiful Libra Blue Moon.
Yesterday under the tides of the waxing Virgo Full Moon, my little family of three set off on the road for two months of traveling and teaching. So, this Moon is truly initiating and amplifying our drive to serve!
As we turn towards Spring, the remembrance of what was, nourishes what will be. I go on daily walks with Taliesin (who is already four months old!) and we say hello to every tree, leaf, bird, stick, flower and stone we see. Tiny flowers are budding on once barren branches and dried leaves are making songs as they swirl in the wind.
